Treasurer (3-year term)This individual will serve SSSS for a three-year term, beginning in November 2026. The SSSS Treasurer serves on the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee and the Finance Committee. The Treasurer is responsible for the oversight and management of the financial stability of the organization. The Treasurer reports to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and the membership of SSSS
Secretary (2-year term) This individual will serve SSSS for a two-year term, beginning in November 2026. The SSSS Secretary serves on the Board of Directors and the Executive Committee and is responsible for keeping official records of the organization. The Secretary will keep the minutes of the meetings of the Board of Directors and of the Executive Committee and will perform all duties incidental to the office of Secretary and other such duties as from time to time may be assigned by the President or the Board of Directors and serve as a member of the Executive Committee.
Membership Chair (2-year term) This individual will serve SSSS for a two-year term, beginning in November 2026 and works on The Society’s membership recruitment and retention for the term. The Membership Chair will also engage with members by helping them to understand and experience the benefits of belonging to The Society. They may perform other duties from time to time that may be assigned by the President or by the Board of Directors and will serve as a member of the Executive Committee and as Chair of the Membership Committee.
At-Large Member (3 positions; 2-year terms)These individuals will serve SSSS for a two-year term, beginning in November 2026. At-Large representatives serve as liaisons between SSSS committees and the Board of Directors. The At-Large Members report to the Board of Directors, the Executive Committee, and the membership of SSSS.
All positions are open to SSSS members who wish to contribute to SSSS.

After the Nominations Committee meets to discuss the nominees and approve the list of candidates, the Nominations Chair will forward the list to the SSSS President for the Board of Directors to vote on for final approval. The approved candidates will appear on two separate election ballots. SSSS professional members and student members can vote for the President-Elect and Member-at-Large positions. Only SSSS student members will have the opportunity to vote for the SICC position.
Election ballots will be distributed to the members in late June. For more information about the Election Procedures, including nomination by petition and voting procedures, refer to the SSSS Bylaws, Article VII: Election Procedures (pages 10-11).
